We provide structured literary assessment for both opening chapters and full manuscripts, examining how effectively the work functions on the page through elements such as narrative clarity, pacing, voice, structure, and reader engagement.
Each service follows a defined assessment process designed to provide clear, developmental feedback within the scope of the work submitted.
Obsidian Lily is intended for writers seeking serious, structured assessment of their work at either chapter or manuscript level.
What you receive
- A written assessment report
- Analysis of narrative structure, pacing, character development, and prose execution

- Clear explanation of how the manuscript currently functions on the page

Typical report length: 6–10 pages depending on manuscript length.
Submissions are accepted only through the structured intake process when open.
Unsolicited submissions are not reviewed.
